Baths carved into the chalk cliff, lit by a single shaft cut to the sky. At noon the beam stands upright in the water like a column.

A tea pavilion that keeps noon. Nine cedar columns, one long roof, and a floor scribed with the shadow line of each month — a calendar you can kneel on.

Every wall
is a sundial.
Before a single wall is drawn, the atelier spends a year on site watching where the light falls — then builds around what it finds.
L'atelier
Founded in Paris in 2009, the atelier is eight people, one long table, and a wall of sun charts. It builds slowly — two or three works a year — for clients who intend to stay.
