Eighteen years of
structural honesty
Adrian Kessler founded the büro in 2008 after a decade inside Europe's most exacting practices. His buildings begin as sections, not façades — studies of how a wall should meet the ground, how a roof should admit the north light, how a room should weigh on its site.
The studio stays deliberately small: eleven architects, one model workshop, no renderings before the first concrete sample. Every project — from a chapel in Lofoten to a tower in Frankfurt — is drawn by hand before it is drawn by machine.
